Evelyn and Olivia: Seven Months

Soooo...somehow you gals are seven months old?! You both have done a lot this month so let's get to it!

-Evelyn is now for serious crawling! It's an army crawl but oh man is she getting on her hands and knees and rocking and also doing the plank and getting up on her toes.
- Olivia isn't quite crawling but she rolls and turns to wherever she wants to go and we also have caught her using her head to move forward and also the start of an army crawl. She also is getting up on her hands and knees and rocking as well as doing the plank. I think she's going to be fast when she does crawl because it seems like she will go straight to knees and skip the army crawl. Regardless my days just got a lot busier now that they are on the move!

- We have gotten a lot more Liv laughs and Madi has a ball making both of you girls laugh! She's great at entertaining you both and we love watching it!
- No teeth have presented still... broken record here, but I am pretty surprised with how much drooling, chewing, and noise making you've both got going on!
- Both of you are still doing pretty decent at night. You go to bed around 8-815 pm, but one of you (and it alternates which one) usually wakes up between 5-7 am and we have to give a pacifier a couple times to push you until 730 am.

- Congrats on 18 flights and seven countries (as I type this from Lisbon, Portugal!). You were pros on the flight here but a bit of a handful that first night in a new place. Let's hope you do better next week when Mommy braves Manchester with all three girls and no Daddy!
- Both of you are learning to make noises and love talking and laughing and cooing and gurgling! Olivia likes to spit and Evy is starting to do a sort of lip smack thing? I'm working on at least one of you saying "mama" first since Madi said "dada" and I think it only fair that I get at least one to say "mama" first!

Olivia Ann

Height: 24.8 in
Weight: 14.5 lbs

Thank you so much sweet girls for being so laid-back and easy going. I joke that God knew I needed that to be able to handle having two at once-ha! But seriously, you are both amazing at hanging in the stroller, on a play mat, wherever! You are both incredibly happy and have infectious smiles and laughter! We are so blessed to have you in our lives. It's tough work having twins but we wouldn't change it for the world and feel special that we get to have TWO amazing babies at once!

Disney on Ice: Stavanger, Norway

Last Friday we got to attend the 25 year anniversary show of Disney on Ice with Madi. We hired a babysitter to watch the twins and spent the afternoon and early evening on a date with just our oldest daughter. She had a lot of fun at the show, but kept asking (more like demanding - ha!) that Mickey and Donald come back. In her defense she hadn't seen most of the shows they featured - The Little Mermaid, Lion King, and Peter Pan. But she did love seeing the characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as well as the last movie feature, which I'm sure you can guess... Frozen! :-)

Here are some pictures from our date night with Madi -

Intro, Mickey Mouse and friends (Madi loves Goofy!), and The Little Mermaid

Peter Pan! We watched the movie the following night with Madi and she enjoyed it. :-)

And of course it wouldn't be a good Disney on Ice right now if it didn't feature.... Frozen!

The finale!

It was a wonderful date night with Madi and we were grateful to be able to take her to Disney on Ice!

January Wrap-up

So here we sit on the eve of January 31... and I blogged like twice? #blogfail. It's been crazy getting back to Norway, getting over jet lag, and getting back into a routine. Plus with two babies starting to be mobile and sleeping less, my days are pretty busy! The result? A giant picture overload of the past month. Enjoy. :-)

1. A Sunday shake at Red Robin after church.
2. Daddy snuggling his girls.
3. Madi loving on Jazzy, my mom's shelty dog
4. Madi entertaining baby sitters
5. Madi at Gymboree class. We went quite a few times while we were in OKC and she loved it!
6. Happy girls!
7. Our last Sunday at Quail Springs Church before we left for Norway.
8. En route at the KLM lounge in Amsterdam
9. Jet lagged babies being forced to hold their own bottles. ;-)

1. Happy babies!
2. Adorable Madi
3. A not-so-fun start to the week when I burned my hand on the bottle sterilizer and blistered four of my fingers. :-/
4. Playdate with Levi!
5. Madi making sure kitty and baby sisters were asleep on our late afternoon walk.
6. Seriously? Sooo happy. I have the best job ever.
7. Madi holding Olivia's hand on the sofa. Heart melt.
8. Zoey getting some love after missing us!
9. CeCe acting awkward.

1. Practicing sitting up.
2. Discovering each other. It's so fun to watch them interact!
3. Again - so happy.
4. Evelyn crawling to and deciding she'd rather eat the empty wipe container rather than her toys.
5. What happens when you toddler takes your phone for pictures? She takes better ones than you of her baby sisters.
6. Again, photo compliments of Madi. (Never mind the 30 others I deleted that were blurry - she nailed the shot!)
7. Ikea playdate with the Stohlmann family!
8. Madi and Sara with Hans the puppy dog.
9. Introducing Xander to gymnastics class and the song "Bjørnen Sover" (The Bear is Sleeping)

1. More kitten love when we caught them snuggling.
2. Mommy and her mini: Olivia
3. Daddy and his mini: Evelyn
4. Sweet girl
5. Madi wanted to sit by her baby sisters and hold their hands! Precious.
6. "Are you serious?!"
7. Evelyn doing her nightly stretches. Girl has perfected the army crawl and is getting up on her knees and rocking. UGH.
8. Lunchtime!
9. Mom miggghhht have missed the nap window and let Olivia accidentally fall asleep on the playmat. Whoops.

Happy January friends! :-)
