First Baseball Game - Go Astros!

We had the amazing opportunity to take the girls to their first baseball game when we were in Houston! We went early for the Family Day activities and got a fun caricature of the girls.

Afterwards we headed to our seats and explained how the game of baseball worked. The girls did well on snacks (they love dippin dots!) and enjoyed watching the game.

Some of the other spectators around us heard that it was the girls' first game and they told us if we headed over to Member Services they would give us a certificate commemorating the event!

After the game we queued in line for the girls to go down on the field and run the bases - what an experience!

Evy & Liv are SIX!

 These sweet girls are already SIX! They got to celebrate their birthday in America with donuts, painting ceramics, Wendy's, and their requested cookie cake! It was sweetened by having Grandma in town and being able to celebrate with their cousins that evening. {We gave them their pajamas and books in Doha the day before we left so we wouldn't have to haul everything with us πŸ˜…}

Evelyn  - you are such a fun spirit and easy going. You are bubbly and make friends easily with anyone and never exclude people. You enjoy playing with your sisters and never want to be left out. You are sensitive, but the toughest physically. We are so thankful to have you as a daughter! Happy 6th birthday!

Olivia - you are such an observant and hilarious person. You can make anyone laugh with the comments you make and your point of view on things. You are independent and love doing your own thing, even if your sisters don't want to join you. You are confident and quiet (sometimes) until you relax and let loose. We are so thankful to have you as a daughter! Happy 6th birthday!

Fourth of July!

This summer was the first time in nine years that we've been in the USA to celebrate America's Treason Day πŸ˜‰. It was also the first time the girls celebrated in America. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ There is just something about being able to watch fireworks and bbq on the Fourth that we are so thankful our girls could celebrate this year.

We spent the weekend slightly jet lagged, but ready for fun with our family and the girls' cousins. They got to do a Fourth of July parade in their neighborhood, watch fireworks at a local county event, and then celebrate with swimming and a bbq and home fireworks.

Happy Independence Day!
